About Merdad Parsey, MD
As Chief Medical Officer of Gilead, Dr. Parsey spearheads Gilead’s global clinical development and medical affairs organizations, including the supervision of all clinical trials and development operations. Prior to Gilead, he served as Senior Vice President of Early Clinical Development at Genentech. Earlier in his career, Dr. Parsey served as President and CEO of 3-V Biosciences (now Sagimet BioSciences), held development roles at Sepracor, Regeneron and Merck, and was Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Critical Care Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine.
